Okayama Castle
The Okayama castle was originaly built in 1597.It was used until 150 years ago by the Okayama feudal lord ruling this region. All buildings were burnt down by the U.S. bombing in WWII, only the "moon-viewing turret" survived. However, the castle tower etc. were rebuild in 1966, to reproduce the old atmosphere . Since its castle tower is colored black, locals call it U-jyo = Crow castel.
